Abstract:
Two new iridoid glucosides, javanicosides A (1) and B (2) along with the known compounds, ursolic acid and β-sitosterol were isolated from the leaf and stem bark of Parkia javanica and the structures were established on the basis of detailed spectroscopic analysis (MS, 1D, and 2D NMR experiments). The new compounds were identified as 8-O-p-hydroxybenzoyl-6'-O-p-coumaroyl-mussaenosidic acid (1) and 7-O-E-3,4-dimethoxycinnamoyl-6'-O-β-d-glucopyranosylloganic acid (2).Keywords: Parkia javanica; Mimosaceae; iridoid glucosides
