In the case where robots are introduced into a production line, if the operation scenario of the robots is known beforehand in the planning stage, it is possible to save time from robot introduction to production line start-up. This paper, then, gives an outline of an actual engineering technique application with the aid of computer technology. For example, 'ROSET' is a CAD system for robots application engineering developed by KHI. This system is useful for the layout planning of robots, the precheck of the operation motion and the generation of the teaching data, when it is planned to introduce robots into a production line. This paper gives a concept concerning to the planning and the simulation for application of the robots.
