The first total synthesis of two unusual 5-deoxyflavone derivatives from Albizia odoratissima, 7,8-dimethoxy-3‘,4‘-methylenedioxyflavone 1 and 7,2‘,4‘-trimethoxy- flavone 2, has been accomplished.
