Acknowledging Complexity: Rethinking Program Review and Assessment in Technical Communication
Abstract:Regular evaluations are essential to the success of an organization. Only by reviewing and assessing the quality of work it performs can an organization recognize and play to its strengths as well as identify and address its weaknesses. The same process holds true for academic departments and divisions as much as it does for corporate entities. In both cases, the key to effective review and assessment involves identifying an organization's objectives and then determining how well the activities of that organization meet those objectives.
