The Future of Technical Communication: Introduction to This Special Issue
Author: Albers, Michael J.

Publisher: Society for Technical Communication
Abstract:
The purpose of this special issue is to step back from a close examination of any particular technology or job description, and instead to examine how they will affect the development of technical communication as a discipline. Most of the articles in this issue examine the “what is” of the present rather than “what might be” in the future. I hope that this special issue inspires researchers to look long and hard at the potential effects of technology on technical communication's future.Document Type: Guest editorial
