Abstract:
Its no secret that the Society for Technical Communication, like virtually every other professional organization, has been affected by current economic conditions. Income has declined as a result of drops in membership, and our board of directors has attempted to find ways to reduce expenditures without significantly affecting the level of service to our members. This fiscal prudence is commendable. There are two areas, however, where I hope that the board will restore funds cut during the past year when it approves the 20032004 fiscal year budget.Document Type: Research article
