Abstract:

A method for estimating cationic treatment agents in an aqueous bath has been developed. The technique is based on the titration of a known quantity of an anionic dye, Congo Red, with a solution of the treatment agent. Possible interference with the end-point due to variations in pH and electrolyte concentration has been examined. Received: 22 April 2003; Accepted: 18 July 2003.
