View of Sustainable Energy from the Petroleum Refinery Perspective
With the fall in natural gas prices, USA refi ners have largely lost interest in energy conservation capital projects even though climate change is destroying bio-diversity and endangering the future of mankind. Refi nery management does not appreciate the history of CO2, CH4, and O2 in the atmosphere, nor the probable consequences of altering the composition of the atmosphere, and the pH and temperature of the ocean.
