This paper describes the concept of the digital landscape model for Germany DLM-DE and its implementation plan. It aims at pointing out the potential benefits and constraints of the derivation of CORINE Land Cover Data from the DLM-DE as an alternative to the conventional EEA method. The model of the DLM-DE embodies the integration of topographic reference data with thematic remote sensing data. Thereby the ATKIS Basis-DLM shall function as the original data set. Before deriving the CLC data the ATKIS object type catalogue is compared with the CLC nomenclature in the form of a transformation table and – if necessary – modified due to missing CLC classes. Through updating and verification by interpreting satellite imagery the CLC pre-coded DLM-DE objects result in a high resolution dataset on land cover. The reference year 2006 mentioned in this paper has been shifted to 2009 and is to be read as an example scenario. The here described method however shall be retained basically.

Dieser Beitrag erläutert des Konzept des Digitalen Landschaftsmodells für Deutschland DLM-DE und seine geplante Umsetzung. Es werden die Möglichkeiten und Grenzen der Ableitung von CORINE Land Cover Daten (CLC) aus dem DLM-DE als Alternative zur konventionellen EEA-Methode beleuchtet. Das Datenmodell des DLM-DE sieht eine Integration von Geobasisdaten mit Geofachdaten aus der Fernerkundung vor. Als Ausgangsdatensatz wird das ATKIS Basis-DLM verwendet. Zur Vorbereitung der CLC-Ableitung wird der Objektartenkatalog des Basis-DLM mit der CLC-Nomenklatur abgeglichen und entsprechend angepasst, um eine objektorientierte, semi-automatische Transformation vom ATKIS-Flächen-Code zum CLC-Flächen-Code durchzuführen. Das Ergebnis ist ein räumlich hochauflösender Datensatz zur Landbedeckung für Deutschland, der anhand von Satellitenbilddaten verifiziert wird. Das hier verwendete Bezugsjahr für die Aktualisierung des DLM-DE ist im Zuge des Projektverlaufes von 2006 auf 2009 angehoben worden und ist daher im Text als beispielhaftes Szenario zu verstehen. An der Verfahrensweise soll im Wesentlichen festgehalten werden.
