Abstract:

For the first time, a late Holocene subfossil moss, Meesia triquetra, is reported from NW Iran. Its remnants are included in a core of peat deposits, dated 875-675 cal yr BP. The finding is the first record of a Meesia species in the bryophyte flora of Iran and SW Asia.
