Findings have suggested the importance of the level of aspiration of the individual subject as well as the significance of sex. The following study investigated some of the differences in a perceptual discrimination performance task due to: (1) sex and (2) level of aspiration of each group of subjects. It was found that the discrimination performance of females was greater than that of males; level of aspiration does affect both groups, but the female subjects to a greater degree, and, there is an interaction effect between femaleness, maleness, and aspiration level.", }
