Abstract:
The identification of the picrates of alkaloids is a useful step in the purification and characterization of the alkaloids. Furthermore, the UV and visible spectral data of the alkaloid picrates are not published, at least in a systematic way. It is the purpose of the present communication to report the UV and visible spectra of fifteen picrates of alkaloids in recognition that such knowledge could also be useful for identification purposes. Keywords: Ultraviolet spectra; Visible spectra; Picrates of alkaloids; Identification method
