Abstract:

The analysis of fluorocarbon lubricant on magnetic storage disks by Fourier transform infrared external reflectance spectroscopy is presented. Optimization of parameters for the analysis is discussed and methods of quantitative analysis are proposed. Results from a dedicated accessory for the task are shown.
