Abstract:
Spatial studies of analyte emission in the inductively coupled plasma have revealed wide variance in the position of maximum signal. Obviously, in routine chemical analysis best results are obtained when emission is viewed in this region. Moreover, in fundamental or developmental studies on the ICP it is often necessary to scan or observe atypical regions of the plasma discharge. Such scans or the selection of spatial observation regions can be accomplished by several alternative means. Keywords: Emission spectroscopy; Instrumentation-emission spectroscopy; Instrumentation, ICP; Optics
