Abstract:

In this note, we report on a convenient and high-efficiency polarization scrambler for Raman spectroscopy. This polarization scrambler is a liquid crystal of the dibromomethane solution (5.1 wt%) of poly-y-benzyl-L-glutamate (degree of polymerization 1480), formed in a cylindrical quartz cell 3 cm in diameter and 5 mm in thickness.
