Abstract:
This book consists of nine chapters, each written by a different author, covering various aspects of applied absorption spectroscopy in the ultraviolet, visible, and infrared. X-ray absorption is not included. As stated in the preface, it is "written almost entirely from the view point of what seems of most practical concern in a modern chemical testing and analytical laboratory". At the outset it can be stated the authors have placed between the covers of the book a large amount of useful information and this reviewer thinks that it should be available in every laboratory where work in analytical absorption spectroscopy is being done.Document Type: Research article
