Abstract:This study conclusively determines that the demand for softwood lumber in the United States responds to various market factors, including the price of softwood lumber, the price of other budding materials, and the level of such economic activities as housing starts. The analysis focuses on overcoming some of the methodological shortcomings found in previous studies of this issue. South. J. Appl. For 14(2):89-92.
