Individual tree inside-bark merchantable volume equations are developed for plantation grown Japanese larch in Pennsylvania. Predictor variables can be dbh², dbh² and total height, or dbh², total height, and merchantable height. The equation using dbh² and total height gave results similar to an equation of the same form developed using data from a Vermont study. North. J. Appl. For. 3:58-60, June 1986.
