Equations are presented for using diameter at breast height to estimate diameter at groundline of sapling-size southern pines. In previously published equations (Journal of Forestry 77:291-292) diameter at groundline, a difficult measure to obtain, was used, with total tree height, to predict total aboveground biomass of individual trees.
