A New Mounting Platform For Dial-Gage Dendrometers
Abstract:A new type of mounting platform was devised for dial-gage dendrometers to facilitate use on trees as small as 1½ inches in diameter. The new platform, which uses two screw supports, compares favorably in accuracy with the standard 3-support-screw dendrometer platforms. Instructions are given for making and using the new type of platform.
