This paper contains a table from which the accuracy of a cruise can be obtained if the following factors are known: (1) percentage of cruise, (2) area cruised, (3) coefficient of variation between sampling units. The coefficient of variation is uniformly defined for different cruising deigns and it is shown how it is calculated for a given cruise.
