Multiple-Spur Climbers for High Pruning

Abstract:Pruning above the reach of pole saws and ladders is desirable in young Douglas-fir, but climbing with the conventional single-spur climbing iron does considerable damage. To minimize this damage the authors invented a climbing iron with several short points set on a curve to fit the tree; this they are parenting for free use in the United States.
