Abstract:
Since the large scale failure of direct seeding in the early days of forestry in the United States, artificial reforestation has been considered almost entirely in terms of planting. In this article the author protests the abandonment of direct seeding while still in its infancy and presents the results of experiments conducted to determine the factors affecting success and failure in direct seeding.- Membership Information
