Errors Involved in Determining Tree Volumes by the Planimeter Method

Abstract:
Tree volumes are often determined by the planimeter method. The author shows that each operator has his own particular bias which produces variation in the values obtained. Methods are suggested to reduce the individual errors to a minimum.Document Type: Journal article
