This is the fourth edition of a book that first appeared more than 20 years ago and has been revised approximately every 7 years. This edition includes an additional author (Shmulsky) and the promotion of Bowyer to senior author. The overall quality has improved with each new edition and the current edition has reached another higher level of quality and content. This edition also has extended coverage of the composite wood panels that have attained market acceptance since the publication of the earlier editions.
