The relative frequencies of tree number are identical for all balanced uneven-aged stands when the diameter classes are expressed in terms of the mean diameter. As in even-aged stands, the actual (right-truncated) number of trees in uneven-aged stands is a power function of the average diameter. The power, however, is less than that in even-aged stands.
