Notes: Relationship Between Logarithms of Chilling Period and Germination or Bud Flush Rate is Linear for Many Tree Species
Abstract:The response of germination and flushing to chilling period can be described with the equation, T = ASk, where T and S are times to germination (or flushing) and chilling period, respectively, k is the chilling response rate, and A is a constant. If time is transformed to logarithms, the relationship is linear for a number of species and conditions. Forest Sci. 29:237-240.
