Notes: Relationship Between Logarithms of Chilling Period and Germination or Bud Flush Rate is Linear for Many Tree Species
The response of germination and flushing to chilling period can be described with the equation, T = ASk, where T and S are times to germination (or flushing) and chilling period, respectively, k is the chilling response rate, and A is a constant. If time is transformed to logarithms, the relationship is linear for a number of species and conditions. Forest Sci. 29:237-240.
