	abstract = "A framework for management of uneven-aged forests, based on the concept of optimal economic rotation of even-aged crops, has been presented. Age or diameter no longer directly remain the criteria for deciding whether a tree is ready for harvesting. Instead, the biological "vigour" of the tree, current economic conditions and utilization practices combine to decide financial maturity in such a way as to lead towards equal annual yields.
