Abstract:

The negative exponential function has often been used to describe the diameter distribution for uneven-aged forest stands. A method is presented to easily specify an inverse J-shaped distribution with a given density level expressed as basal area, tree-area ratio, or crown competition factor. Forest Sci. 22:177-180.
