Abstract:

The theory of point sampling is treated in a different manner than has previously been done. Standard results are tied to classical sampling theory. Various double sampling estimators are mentioned, and the theory for point sampling with subsampling as an alternative to double sampling is shown. Forest Sci. 16: 240-246.

Keywords: Double sampling; subsampling; unequal probability sampling
