Notes: Pollination of Western White Pine with Water Suspensions of Pollen--A Technique for Chemical Mutagen Treatments

Pollen of western white pine was treated with water and the chemical mutagen ethyl methanesulfonate prior to wet pollination to test the effects of such treatments on seed set. Sound seed yield was below normal but aquous and chemical treatments of pollen and wet pollination are shown to be feasible.
