The construction and evaluation of all aluminum instrument shelter capable of housing meteorological instruments as large as a hygrothermograph and comparable to a US Weather Bureau shelter in its thermal characteristics is presented. Temperature differences between the economical shelter and a standard shelter were normally distributed, with a mean of 0.1F° and a standard deviation of 0.7°F.
