A Device for Implanting Temperature Sensors in Tree Stems
Abstract:A device is described which permits the accurate location of temperature sensors in tree stems. Sensors are introduced via holes normal to a radius through the point and inclined at 45° to the axis of the stem. In tests sensors were placed within ± 5 mm of desired locations.
