Notes: On Log-Grading and Timber Appraisal
Abstract:The problem of predicting lumber grade output and/or value is placed in the framework of multi-variate multiple regression and prediction. Expressions are obtained for variances of predicted lumber grade output and predicted total value. A method of estimating these variances is suggested.
