Recent or overlooked work is described which usefully supplements the published accounts of threatened vascular plants in the Murray-Darling Basin of South Australia (MDBSA). A recent taxonomic revision records an extra five species of Senecio from the MDBSA which may possibly be threatened or extinct there; some of these may also be threatened or extinct Australia-wide. Some overlooked data are provided for three species of Lepidium threatened or extinct in the MDBSA.
In 2004, the South Australian Museum and the Royal Society of South Australia became partners in Southern Scientific Press. This led to the amalgamation of their two professional journals. The Transactions of the Royal Society of South Australia now incorporates the Records of the South Australian Museum. Transactions of the Royal Society of South Australia deals with natural history relating to South Australia
