Abstract:This paper aims at comparing the traditional picture of visual perception with the emergent sensorimotor picture, taking colour perception as a case study. The framework put forward by Thompson (1995) takes into account computational objectivism and neurphysiological subjectivism first, then elaborates on the sensorimotor alternative. I'll follow the same path, adding some arguments to the relational ontology implied by the sensorimotor advocates.
