Abstract:

This article draws from the professional literature of two distinct domains of research: computer-based electronic learning and professional development in education. The present paper addresses the recently recognized need for new conceptualizations of teaching in both fields. Questions and dilemmas pertaining to collaborative learning and reflective practice are discussed, with particular reference to the professional development of teacher educators in a conventional graduate course. The article further offers a detailed description of the thinking and the pedagogical innovations that a teacher of future teacher educators developed in an asynchronous electronic learning setting.

Le développement professionnel de formations d'enseignants dans des environnements électroniques asynchrones, challenges, opportunités et premiers apercus résultant de la pratique

Cet article est tiré de la littérature professionnelle de 2 domaines distincts de recherche : l'apprentissage électronique basé sur l'ordinateur et le développement professionnel en éducation. Il concerne le besoin reconnu récemment pour une nouvelle conceptualisation de l'enseignement dans les 2 domaines. On y discute des questions et problèmes soulevès par l'apprentissage collectif et la pratique réfléchie avec une expérience particulière au développement professionnel des formateurs d'enseignements dans un cours « graduate » conventionnel. De plus l'article décrit en détail la pensée et les innovations pédagogiques qu'un informateur de futurs enseignements développe dans le cadre d'un apprentissage electronique asynchrone.

Professionelle Entwicklung von Lehrerausbildern in asynchronen elektronischen Umgebungen: Herausforderungen, Gelegenheiten und vorläufige Einblicke aus der Praxis heraus

Dieser Artikel lebt von der professionellen Literatur zweier deutlich getrennter Forschunggebiete: Rechnergestütztes elektronisches Lernen und professionelle Entwicklung in der Bildung. Das vorliegende Papier spricht den in beiden Gebieten erst kürzlich wahrgenommenen Bedarf nach neuen Konzeptionen der Lehre an. Fragen und Zweifel, die das gemeinsame Lernen und das reflektierende Üben betreffen, werden unter besonderem Bezug auf die professionelle Entwicklung von Lehrerausbildern in einem konventionellen Absolventenkurs erörtert. Der Artikel bietet weiter eine detaillierte Beschreibung des Denkens und neuer pädagogischer Gedanken, die einem Lehrer zukünftiger Lehrerausbilder in einer asynchronen elektronischen Lernumgebung gekommen sind.
