The international foreign aid regime: who gets foreign aid and how much?
Abstract:This paper analyses the data on international foreign aid. It examines the basic data on who gets foreign aid, how much, how aid dependent are the recipient countries, and how the international foreign aid regime has evolved. It is argued that the pattern of the flow of foreign aid suggests that aid provided has little relationship to human needs in developing and transitional countries.
