This article deals with the various versions of the travel report that the friar Odorico da Pordenone dictated to another Franciscan monk in Padua after his return from China. The authenticity of the so-called 'redazione primitiva' allegedly based on further information orally given by the traveller in Venice is also discussed in detail.Document Type: Research article
