Travelogues are usually conceived in prose, and related orally or written down. There exits only a very small number of lyrical texts dealing with travels. In the 15th century, Oswald von Wolkenstein 'invented' the lyric genre of “Reiselieder”, i.e. songs which describe entire journeys or adventures encountered on journeys. Four such songs were presented at the symposion (Kl 122, Kl 19, Kl 55, Kl 18), sung by Thomas Schallaböck and commented by Ulrich Müller.
