Abstract:

The American Chemical Society (ACS) held their 244th national meeting August 19–23, 2012 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; the meeting theme was “Materials for Health & Medicine”. More than 13,000 delegates and visitors attended the meeting, including approximately 3,000 students and 1,200 exposition exhibitors. The Agrochemicals Division (AGRO) organized 18 technical symposia and offered Education Awards for student poster session. In addition, AGRO had extensive programming with the Divisions of Agricultural and Food Chemistry (AGFD) and Environmental Chemistry. This article summarises the key presentations made at the meeting.
