Abstract:

This paper presents the basic data on the market for plant protection products in Poland following EU accession. Several issues are analysed in the article including the amount and supply of plant protection products placed on the Polish market, as well as changes in number of plant protection products after EU accession in different groups. The article mentions the problem of minor crops, the increase of crop protection costs and the fact that plant protection products in Poland are usually re–registered for fewer approved uses than before.
