Mosquito Control in Florida with a Focus on Aerial Adulticiding
Abstract:Florida is synonymous with white sandy beaches, warm turquoise waters, beautiful weather and a myriad of theme parks. In fact, it is one of the most visited tourism areas of the world. However, this was not always the case.
Prior to its being granted statehood in 1845, John Randolph, a respected congressman from Virginia, voiced his opposition stating that Florida was uninhabitable due to it being "a land of swamps, of quagmires, of frogs, and alligators, and mosquitoes".
