Abstract:

Since 2006 the team behind the Specialist Library for Surgery, Theatres and Anaesthesia (http://www.library.nhs.uk/theatres/) has worked hard to develop a collection of resources relevant to the theatres community. The efforts have paid off and the library is attracting more and more visitors. In February 2008 we achieved a major milestone and broke the 10,000 barrier for the number of unique visits per month. In our most recent article on the library we touched on what we envisioned for the future. Here we aim to investigate the practicalities of realising these visions.
