Abstract:

Necrotising fasciitis is a progressive and rapidly spreading infection affecting the deep fascia with secondary necrosis of the skin and subcutaneous tissues. It has been described in association with gangrenous appendicitis and following open appendicectomy. We report a case following laparoscopic appendicectomy.
