Abstract:

The Survey of Distance Learning Programs in Higher Education, 2001 Edition The 2001 edition of our popular The Survey of Distance Learning Programs in Higher Education offers up-to-date information on the practices and technologies used in distance learning programs, as well as on students, faculty, and courses. Hundreds of tables provide the distance learning administrator with useful benchmarking data.

Chapter focuses on tuition costs and provides data on mean per credit cost of distance learning courses, percentage of colleges that increased distance learning tuition prices in the year 2000, and the comparison of distance learning and traditional tuition prices. All are broken out by type of college, number of students enrolled in distance learning programs, and number of students enrolled in the college.
