Abstract:

This fourth chapter of the PAHO Book "Violence Against Women: The Health Sector Responds" presents the application of PAHO's integrated strategy for addressing Gender-Based Violence (GVB) and its lessons learned at the macro or political level in Central American countries. Legislative reforms, law enforcement, mobile support units and other responses to GVB are analyzed.
