Abstract:

Despite the recent successful development and international marketing of inactivated hepatitis A vaccines, hepatitis A remains a common infectious disease in many regions of the world. This chapter describes the virology of hepatitis A, the efficacy and effectiveness of the vaccine and it gives recommendations for the use of hepatitis A vaccines.
