Better Health: A Handbook of Behavior Change is a one-of-a-kind manual for communities to reduce disease, disability, and premature death throughout the life cycle. In the section about pregnancy, risk factors for low birth-weight, fetal anomalies and infant deaths, social risk personal biological and behavioral factors and psychological risks factors are included. From birth through age 4 years the prevention and early detection of developmental problems are discussed, along with preventing postnatal disabilities, reducing sudden infant death syndrome and increasing immunization.
