Abstract:
Better Health: A Handbook of Behavior Change is a one-of-a-kind manual for communities to reduce disease, disability, and premature death throughout the life cycle. The second chapter of the book discusses what factors contribute to the excess number of specified diseases disabilities or deaths (strategies for identifying causes departing from the traditional epidemiological triangle), and how these factors can be changed, along with the additional elements that can reduce these health problems. How to select the target populations to work with and what overall interventions will yield the greatest results and what needs to be done and what can be omitted to reach the goals are also questions that find an answer in this section. Keywords: Health Promotion; Disease Prevention; Causes of death; Risk factors; Mortality; Epidemiology; Host; Agent; Environment; Community Intervention
